Red Rocks Amphitheater 2018 Spring concerts
The most coveted concert venue in the country is coming alive with some amazing Denver concerts planned over the next few months!
If you’re not familiar with Red Rocks, allow us to introduce you. The amphitheater is setup on the side of the mountain between two large rocks. Seating is slanted facing downward toward the stage located at the bottom. Because the amphitheater is outside, it provides a perfect acoustic setting. As the sound travels up the hill toward the audience, it freely escapes into the open sky without bouncing back into the crowd.
Because of this, bands ranging from Nickel Back, Goo Goo Dolls, Switch Foot, Slip Knot, and Imagine Dragons have made it a point to play in this incredible outdoor auditorium. Even the Beatles made it their priority to play under the stars at Red Rocks in 1964.
And when you hear your favorite band, or any band really, you’ll understand why. Listen to this video from when U2 made history at Red Rocks on a rainy concert in 1983.

While you’re at Red Rocks:
Make sure you and your friends stop by the Ship Rock Grille and try some of their famous Buffalo Chili or burgers while dining on the breathtaking patio overlooking the mountain range in front of you.
And what better way to arrive at a concert than in a KuKu camper? Bring a cooler of drinks, turn the music up and have your own party in the parking lot while you’re waiting for the doors to open!
It’s not uncommon to have people travel from out of state to hear a band at Red Rocks. If you’re one of them, take advantage of your time here in Colorado and take time after the concert to do some site seeing in the mountains in our KuKu camper!
